After reading the Edward Kennedy Serve America Act, an act to reauthorize and reform the national service laws, my heart was filled with dread. Regardless of whether this remains voluntary, or becomes mandatory, requiring all American citizens to volunteer for a civic duty sounds an awful lot like Hitler’s Brown Shirts.
I began hiding radios and canned food beneath my stairs, and building hiding places for my family, friends, and neighbors. This fear mixed with the added fear the media feeds me on a daily basis, telling me that it is the end of morals, ethics, freedom, and Christianity, frightened me even more. Then, I stopped. I began to wonder, “what am I afraid of?” Suddenly it became very apparent to me that I was not alone, I was not the only one that felt threatened, and I was not wrong to wish for my freedoms and religion to be protected.
The liberal media has crippled the American people with the idea that we are unable to change anything, much less, take any action against these real and powerful threats. When you are crippled, there are only two things you can do. Learn to crawl on your belling, or learn to fly. This America, is going to learn to fly!
This American refuses to be afraid any longer. I for one believe in the end. I believe everything comes to an end. People die, civilizations come and go, and I am confident our planet will experience a biblical end to all things. Maybe not today, perhaps not tomorrow, but all will end.
But I assure the liberal left wing fanatics this. I will not cower like Saddam Hussein in a box like pit, waiting for my demise. No, this American. I will be there in the end through fervent prayer, and we’ll let the enemy decide whether I’m on the battle field waving a flag, or bearing arms…this American has decided to be afraid no longer.
